Diabetes is a chronic illness that is taken lightly by people. It can lead to certain diseases, such as blindness, kidney failure, and nerve damage. The disease attacks the arteries, which can lead to a stroke and coronal heart disease. Diabetes is caused by the deficiency of insulin in the body. There are two different types, Type 1 and Type 2. Diabetes prevention is not difficult to accomplish.

Exercising is the most integral part in preventing the Diabetes. The glucose level is high due to the body not producing enough insulin, which leaves the body with glucose in the blood. The body does not produce enough insulin, which leads to a rise in the glucose level in the blood vessels. Exercising affects the sugar level in the blood vessel. It strengthens the muscles and liver to use glucose. It is recommended that an individual should do a combination of cardiovascular activity and weight training at least 3 times a week.

The only risk with exercise is the sugar level can drop. If the sugar becomes to low the person may end up in a coma. If the sugar drops constantly while exercising then eat fruits or other sugary sweets.

Along with exercising, it is vital to make some changes in diet. With the assistance of exercise and diet, it will be easier controlling the blood sugar levels. Limit your intake on certain foods that might not be good for your insulin such as carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates may raise the level of insulin; it is recommended at least 40% of carbohydrates should be included in the diet. With the right balance of carbohydrates there should be more energy to work out. Research shows it is best to stay away from white flour; and it is best to include whole grains such as whole wheat bread and pasta.

Being mentally and physically healthy gives us the capacity we need to take care of ourselves. As we take care of ourselves, we are less likely to contract diseases. Stress is not being mentally healthy which serves as a catalyst to diseases. A long-term period of stress can attack the blood glucose level. When people are under stress, they do not take care of themselves; they forget to do their daily rituals. At times, they result in doing things that alleviate the stress such as smoking.

Often at times people find ways to cope with their stress by doing things that prevent them from thinking healthy such as smoking. It may be a stress reliever but it can do harm to the body, causing them to be more susceptible to certain diseases. Smoking can cause high blood glucose in addition; can stop the ability to use insulin, which makes you more prone.

Diabetes is not like a cold where take a few cups of medicine and the next day it is gone, it is an illness that should not be taken likely because it has no cure. Deaths have often occurred because of diabetes. Fighting it off is almost like a domino affect. Take down one disease then the others behind it fall down.
